The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is a modern art museum founded in 1937. The museum moved to its current location in 1959.
The main part of the building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, has a very unusual shape that has become a landmark tourist attraction in itself!
The viewing gallery forms a spiral from the ground level up to the top of the building and also in viewing rooms found at stages along the way.
The museum has ongoing exhibitions from its collection, which includes masterpieces by Cezanne, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Picasso, Pissarro, Renoir, and van Gogh.
The museum also has several special exhibitions.
