Fantastic panoramic views of New York can be found from 70 stories up at 'Top of the Rock' Observation Deck at the Rockefeller Center.
Besides the observation deck, the Rockefeller Center has other attractions including boutiques, dining, and is home to the famous ice rink and Christmas tree in the outdoor Plaza in winter.
A tour of the Center is also available.
The Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th and 51st Streets.
"Rockefeller Center was envisioned by John D. Rockefeller to be the grandest plaza in all New York- a place where business was transacted and communities congregated. Conceived on the verge of the Great Depression (1930s), Rockefeller financed the Center personally. Upon its completion, it was the largest private building project in modern history
and a collection of buildings unrivaled in their artistry and Art Deco nobility."
