Madame Tussauds was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud, who established her first permanent exhibition on Baker Street in London in 1835 before moving to its current location on Marylebone Road in 1884. Madame Tussauds opened its doors in the heart of Times Square in New York City in the year of 2000.
