With its hot summers and mild winters, Los Angeles is a destination that can be enjoyed all year round. However, with practically no rainfall whatsoever during the months of July and August, the city can feel quite stuffy during these months. It is best to avoid summer if you don’t like crowds, as this is the busiest time of the year for tourists.
Mid-spring and mid-autumn are good times to visit due to the pleasantly moderate temperatures and fewer visitor numbers compared to summer. If you’re after cheaper hotel prices, then winter is the best time to go. Although not too cold at this time of the year, the city is at its wettest, so bring an umbrella!
Anyone wishing to see a plethora of some of the biggest stars in the world should time their trip to coincide with one of the award shows, such as the Golden Globes (January) or the Oscars (February/March). Even if you can’t get into the award shows themselves, there will be plenty of A-listers to see on the red carpet. Selfie anyone?!
