DEVONPORT

Devonport, is a seaside village, on the northern shores of Auckland City. It is only 12 minutes by ferry and around 20 minutes by car from downtown Auckland.

Devonport has a wide range of restaurants, cafes, beaches, art galleries and shops, particularly on Victoria Rd.

There are several museums including The Navy Museum and Devonport Museum.

You can enjoy the superb views of the city and gulf from North Head hill, which also contains an extensive collection of military tunnels which are open for exploration, and Mt Victoria hill with wonderful views of Rangitoto Island.

Devonport is a nice place to walk and explore. You can pick up a copy of The Old Devonport Walk & Explore Historic Devonport brochures at the Devonport Visitor Centre on Victoria RD, close to the ferry terminal.
