Established in 1990, Oedipus Rex is a commercial gallery that presents a wide range of contemporary art forms and practice.
In the two exhibition spaces, the gallery presents a new show every three to four weeks - usually includes a mix of figurative and abstract painting, sculpture and photography.
The gallery has acquired a number of young artists of Polynesian - indigenous Maori and Pacific Island - descent, whose distinctive work explores bi-cultural identity.
