Roppongi Hills is a massive business and shopping complex, often described as a 'mini-city'. Seventeen years in the making, the complex opened to the public in 2003.
Constructed by Minoru Mori, the mega-complex includes office space, apartments, shops, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, a museum, a hotel, a TV studio, an outdoor amphitheater, and a few parks.
The centerpiece of the complex is the 54-story Mori Tower, which houses office space, retail stores, restaurants, the Mori Art Museum and the 'Tokyo City View' (Observation deck) with panoramic views of the city.
Tours of the Roppongi Hills complex are available.
