MARUYAMA PARK




Maruyama Koen is a public park of around 90,000sq metres. The popular entry point is through Yasaka Shrine, where nearby is some small restaurants, outdoor eateries and takeaways and toilet facilities.

It is very popular in April, when the cherry trees are in full bloom. The centerpiece of the park is a tall shidarezakura (weeping cherry tree), which gets lit up in the night.

Gion/Higashiyama area. Located behind Yasaka Shrine at the eastern end of Shijo dori.

How to Get There
Keihan Line . Get off at Shijo Station Or Bus No100 or No206 and get off at Gion bus stop.
