RYOZEN KANNON




The 24-metre concrete image of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (the Bodhisattva of Mercy) was erected by the late Hirosuke Ishikawa in 1955 to honour the Japanese dead of World War II. It was modeled by the famous sculptor, the late choun Yamazaki, along with the dedicated effort of others.

Visitors can enter the body of the statue, where there is a collection of Buddhist statues
