POPULAR SHOPPING STREETS IN ROME

A couple of the major shopping streets are via Nazionale and via del Corso, which are generally conventional European shopping streets, with book shops, Music stores, clothes, jewellery etc.

Many of the major fashion stores can be found on via Condotti, including Armani, Hermès, Ferragamo, which you can access either from Via Corso, or at the foot of the Spanish Steps.

The massive Porta Portese street market, is held on early Sunday mornings to around 1pm, selling almost everything! It is situated on the left bank of the Tiber, between Porta Portese and Stazione Trastevere, centered on Via Portuense.

Central Rome does not have any department stores, or rather none of large size!
