VILLA FARNESINA




Villa Farnesina, was commissioned by Agostino Chigi, and designed and built by Baldassarre Peruzzi, aided by Giuliano da Sangallo, between 1506–1510.

In the room 'Galatea', there is a famous fresco by Raphael "The Triumph of Galatea" (1511). In the 'Loggia di Psyche' are frescoes painted by Raphael & his pupils.

The villa also has frescoes by Baldassarre Peruzzi and II Sodoma (aka Giovanni Antonio Bazzi).
