Perugia, is the capital city of Umbria in central Italy.

It is based on an Etruscan layout

Official Language is Italian

It has a population of around 165,000 people.

The historical centre is built on a hill.

It is a university town with many young people and so can be a little noisy into the late hours!

It has a popular university for Foreigners that take courses in Italian language, history and culture

Hosts Italy's jazz festval.

Perugia is famous for its chocolate and hosts a chocolate festival in October of every year.

Difficult parking in Historic Centre. You can park in the underground car park at Piazzale Partigliani and then take the escalators to Piazza Italia.
