The large 2 mile long Cascine Park is popular with joggers, horse riders, rollerbladers, and various sports games.
Every Tuesday morning there is a big open market held in the park selling fruits and vegetables, clothing, shoes, antiquities etc.
Dating back to the mid 16th century, it became a public park in the late 18th century.
It is not a particularly attractive park, but it is a green space away from the traffic and good for a walk or to relax, however as it is a public park, care needs to be taken if visiting at night!
