HOW TO GET TO FLORENCE



The nearest airport is Florence's Airport (Amerigo Vespucci), which is around 5 miles (8km) from the centre. However, most International flights and budget airlines arrive at Pisa Airport (Galileo Galilei), which is around 50 miles (80 km) from the centre of Florence.


  ARRIVING FLORENCE (Amerigo Vespucci) AIRPORT

Take the Ataf-Sita "Vola in Bus" ("Fly by bus"), around 5 euro - takes around 20 minutes to reach centre.

or Taxi, around 25 euro- takes around 15 minutes to reach centre.

  ARRIVING AT PISA (Galileo Galilei) AIRPORT

Take the Terravision bus - takes around 1hr 15 minutes - Price 10 euro. You can buy the ticket at Pisa Airport Information Desk.

or take the train from Pisa airport to Pisa Centrale (takes 5 minutes), then change to a train for Florence (Takes 1hr to 1hr 30 minutes). Price around 6 euro. You can buy the ticket at Pisa Airport Information Desk.

  ARRIVING BY TRAIN

Trains from Europe arrive at Firenze Santa Maria Novella, in central Florence.
