There are many special events and festivals held throughout he year in Florence. A selection of some of the most popular ones are listed below.
EASTER SUNDAY
Scoppio del Carro
A parade dating back to the First Crusade. A procession of entertainers and the pulling of a cart by oxen from Porta al Prato to Piazza del Duomo. Then a firework display, which if all goes smoothly will result in a good harvest!
