Musée De L'armeé is one of the world's largest military museums. It was founded in 1905, when the pre-existing Artillery Museum and the Historical Army Museum were combined.
The museum is housed in Hotel des Invalides, which is also home to several other museums including Musée des Plans-Reliefs, History of Charles de Gaulle and The Royal Chapel, which contains the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The collection of Musée De L'armeé is divided into three main sections, Weapons and armour though the ages, French military history (contains many Napoleon artifacts), and a detailed history of WWI & WWII.
