
V&A South Kensington is a museum of art and design. Discover 3000 years' worth of amazing artefacts from many of the world's richest cultures including ceramics, furniture, fashion, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings.
The museum was established in 1852 as the South Kensington Museum. It was renamed in 1899 in honour of Queen Victoria and her late consort Albert.
The museum is close to the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.
