The National Gallery houses the national collection of Western European painting: over 2,300 pictures dating from 1250 to 1900. The collection includes all the major European schools of painting and masterpieces by many great artists.

Open daily 10:00-18:00
Wednesday 10:00 - 21:00.
Closed 1 January and 24-26 December.
Quietest times are early week-day morning and 18:00 - 21:00 Wednesday.
