PARKS IN TORONTO



01  High Park

Toronto's largest park covering 161 hectares (399 acres). The park is ideal for walking and has two large nature trails that take you through natural forest where you'll see a variety of wildlife and native plants and trees. Among the park's facilities are picnic tables, playing fields for soccer and baseball, tennis courts, a skating ring, an outdoor swimming pool, a zoo, and a children's play area.

02  Queen's Park

Its paths, shaded by large trees offer respite from the hot summer sun. The park has a few picnic tables, but no other recreational facilities, making it an ideal place for a quiet break from the city that surrounds it. Queen's Park is also the location of the Neo-Gothic Ontario Parliament buildings, which house the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

03  Toronto Island Park

A chain of three small islands just offshore from the City of Toronto, which are interconnected by footbridges. Forested pathways and sandy beaches make it an ideal place to escape from the city. The main attraction for families is Centre Island, for its small amusement park. You can get fine views of the city's skyline from the islands.
