Montreal is best visited June to September as this is when the snow has gone and the weather is warm. Although, it can be very hot in July. This time of the year many festivals and outdoor summer events take place on an almost weekly basis with many streets pedestrianised, making it ideal for al-fresco dining.
Winters are long with below zero temperatures throughout December to March with lots of snow. The city can look magical and there are still many winter activities and festivals as well as shopping in the Underground city to escape the cold. But if you don't like the cold or snow, stay well away!!
