LOCAL TRANSPORT IN BRUSSELS



Bus, Metro, Tram
Brussels has an efficient bus, metro and tram service that are run by Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles (STIB).

A single ticket is valid on all three services and allows unlimited changes within an hour. Tickets must be stamped on the bus and tram, and in the metro stations before entering the platform

Single tickets can be bought on the bus and tram. Tickets are available for all services at metro stations and many newsagents.

The services run from around 5am to around 12midnight. (Night buses run to 3am).

Ticket prices
'JUMP' single ticket costs 1,70€

1 day 'JUMP' ticket: 4.50€

3 day 'JUMP' ticket: 9.50€

5 journeys ticket: 7.30€

10 journeys 'JUMP' ticket: 12.30€.

NOTE: None of the above mentioned tickets are valid on the NATO-Brussels Airport section of lines 12 and 21.

Taxi
You can hail a taxi in the street or find one at a taxi rank, particularly at train stations and tourist spots. Brussels Taxis are no more expensive than normal European prices.
