POPULAR SHOPPING STREETS IN BRUSSELS



Rue Neuve (Nieuwstraat) is the main shooping street in Brussels. It is very close to Grand Place. It is mainly pedestrian and has all the usual big chain stores, including the popular department stores - City 2 & Inno.

Grand Place - streets in surrounding area have shops selling chocolate, lace and souvenirs.

Rue Antoine Dansaert and the surrounding area is famous for Brussel's design and fashion world.

Avenue Louise (Louizalaan) is one of the oldest streets in the city, where, along with the nearby Boulevard de Waterloo & Avenue de la Toison d’Or area, many of the big fashion names can be found like Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace and Christian Dior.

Galleries Royales Saint Hubert is a glass roofed neo-Ranaissance arcade consisting of two major parts which were called the King's gallery (Galerie du Roi) and the Queen's gallery (Galerie de la reine) and a third small part called Galerie du Prince. Built in 1847, it is said to be the first shopping arcade in Europe. It is lined with designer shops, bookshops and cafes.
