Ommegang
First weekend 0f July
Costumed procession starts at the Sablon Church and goes to Grand Place, where a medieval festival takes place with over a 1,000 performers. (You will have to buy a ticket for spectacle at the Grand Place!)

Belgium National Day
21 July
To commemorate the 1831 declaration of independence there is normally a military parade then firework display in one of the parks.


AUGUST
Floral Carpet (Tapis des Fleurs)
Takes place in mid August on even number years!
A Floral display of over 800,000 Begonias in Grand Place.
