This is the restored home of Belgium architect and designer Victor Horta (1861-1947), who is considered by many to be the father of Art Nouveau.
The house, which was designed by Horta in 1898, is now a museum (opened in 1969) dedicated to his life and work. In the splendid Art Nouveau interiors there is a permanent display of furniture, utensils and art objects designed by Horta and his contemporaries as well as documents related to his life and time.
The building is now a UNESCO World heritage site!
