
Tiergarten Schönbrunn (German for Schönbrunn Zoo) is a zoo located on the grounds of the famous Schönbrunn Palace. It is the oldest zoo in the world, founded 1752!.
The Zoo, which has some elegant baroque pavillions, include Giant Pandas, Koalas, Hippos, Tigers, Polar Bears, Monkeys, Crocodiles, and many other animals, birds and reptiles. The Zoo also has first elephant born in Europe using artificial insemination techniques, and a rainforest house modeled after the ecosystems of Borneo.
