Sydney Tower is Sydney's tallest free-standing structure
Part of the Centrepoint Shopping and offices complex, the Sydney Tower was opened to the public in August 1981.
There are three main sections of the tower open to the public. One is the observation deck at 250 metres above ground level with a fully-enclosed viewing platform featuring 360 degree views of the city and surrounds. You can enjoy a snack at a cafe while enjoying the fun.
Skywalk 360-degree open air views of Sydney Australia from the roof of Sydney Tower, 260 metres above Sydney. Harnessed onto a moving, glass-floored viewing platform that extends out over the edge of the golden turret of Sydney Tower! (Need to book in advance). Finally, there are two revolving restaurants, one à la carte and one buffet.
At the base of the tower is OzTrek - "a virtual thrill ride adventure across Australia". Although, I was not too impressed by the virtual thrill ride!
